Travel Diary: What we love about our trip to Singapore

6 things I love about our weekend trip to Singapore

1 AFFORDABLE FLIGHTS FROM MANILA TO SINGAPORE

With the right budget airline, you can travel to Singapore on a budget. Since we booked less than two weeks before the flight, I had to search for the most affordable airfare. Luckily, Jetstar was able to give us the budget-friendly rate for this trip.

2 WORLD CLASS MEGA-STRUCTURE EVERYWHERE

The Jewel is the latest tourist spot built right beside Terminal 1. It has a 40 meter tall indoor waterfall ready to greet you as soon as you arrive.

3 CONVENIENT WAYS TO EXPLORE THE CITY

Getting around easily in any city is my priority. Singapore has an organised taxi system. All you have to do is wait in line for a ride.

4 FRIENDLY LOCALS

I love showing the beauty of the world to my daughter. It’s a nice feeling that wherever we go there are friendly locals who make us feel safe and welcome.

5 QUALITY HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS FOR SOLO-PARENT TRAVELLING WITH A KID

Super small or not, our budget friendly hotel accommodation didn’t fail on giving us the five-star treatment.

6 SINGAPORE IS JUST 3.5HRS AWAY FROM HOME

This weekend trip proved us that there are still a lot to see in this island-city state. The short trip was worth it!
