Can someone pull off a classy rustic garden wedding on a tight budget? Our bride did!

The couple had the basics for their wedding and the result was just as lovely.

One afternoon, my former work batch mate turned super-friend, KT, rallied her friends to form the bride tribe for her wedding. With only a month and a half, she had this almost impossible task – pull off a wedding with a 60k budget (or 1,180 USD more or less).

To keep everything on a budget, the bride and groom kept things intimate by inviting only a handful of guests at a rustic garden wedding in Marikina. With the closest friends and immediate family, the couple had about 30 guests at Delicere.

The Wedding/ Reception Venue: Delicere, Marikina

Delicere, a lovely garden restaurant in Marikina complemented the rustic garden intimate wedding theme of the couple.

A traditional wedding ceremony could take three to five hours, depending on how grand the wedding is. If you factor in the travel time from where you have the ceremony to your reception venue, you might need to add a few more hours. With a wedding and reception venue rolled into one, we skipped the time spent on traffic which gave us more time to catch up and meet everyone.

The Bride Tribe, the bride's virtual support system on Viber consists of her closest friends from work, school and neighbourhood.

The Wedding Essentials: Cake, Decors and Games

When in a tight budget, you could always do without the extravagant details and choose to have only the essentials for your wedding. This couple had only the basics in mind, and the result was just as lovely. With savvy online research skills and a knack for DIY projects, the bride pulled off an entire wedding on her own.

Most of the wedding details like the floral centrepieces, tabletop decors, and floral backdrops were created from scratch by the gorgeous bride while the wedding cake and desserts were purchased at a minimum budget.

The Wedding Entourage

In the beginning, the couple wanted to have a civil wedding at the municipal’s office. But seeing the lacklustre ambience in an office set up didn’t give the couple the spark that they were hoping for. So, from three to five people in a civil wedding, the couple made the right choice of upgrading into a rustic garden wedding complete with her wedding entourage. They had wedding sponsors, bridesmaids to facilitate the wedding games and a host/ singer to keep everyone entertained at their intimate wedding.

After long years of building their relationship with just the Internet as the only means to stay connected, Mr and Mrs Dailey finally tied the knot in the bride’s home country. It was a simple yet beautiful wedding ceremony shared with the people who look forward to more milestones for this savvy couple.

Mr and Mrs Dailey will be flying to the US to officially start their life as a married couple to continue their digital and travel lifestyle. Mrs Dailey is KT Nerza, a lifestyle blogger for the digital nomads. Catch the full story of her wedding planning and other travel stories on PinayNomad.com
