App Preview: A look inside VOOKS, a read-along storytelling app

Are you also looking for educational resources to incorporate into your homeschooling curriculum?

I’m not a teacher by profession, but somehow I have been learning a lot in this homeschooling journey. From preparing a weekly lesson plan to trying our different apps before actually purchasing them.

This month my daughter and I tried VOOKS, and so far it’s been working well for us.

What is VOOKS?

Vooks is a read-along storytelling app for toddlers and preschoolers. Think about Netflix for storybooks with colorful animation and entertaining voice narration. It has no ads and 100% safe for kids. And believe me, you can leave your kid with the app without worrying about any ads at all!

How to use the read-along-storytelling app

Signing up for an account is easy! If you want to enjoy a 30-day free trial, you have to include your payment details after that you are free to watch the massive library of stories. You can also use the app on your computer, iPad and smartphone.

What did we love about VOOKS?

I’ve watched the stories, and I’ve seen how I can simply incorporate the stories as part of our daily homeschooling lessons. There is also a vast library of great stories to stream that speaks of kindness, bravery, friendship, to name a few.

Is VOOKS worth the money?

With a $4.99 monthly subscription or less than P300, you get yourself a Netflix or Youtube alternative for your kid. It takes your mind from the worries of your kid accidentally accessing age-inappropriate content.

Here’s our video app-review!
