Hi, guys!
I’m Elle.

Not so long ago, I was alone at the office thinking, “What on earth am I doing burning hours of my time glued on this office chair when I could be starting my own digital marketing agency and travelling the world!”. I took action! I moonlighted on my first batch of clients, earned twice my salary in my 9 to whenever hours office day job, and left the life of an employee.

With no capital to fund a small PR agency, I decided to work as a freelancer and turned my bedroom into a mini home office. I would use our dining room as my Skype meeting room and turned our living room as my work lounge.

Everything was running smoothly!

I was a full-time freelancer earning twice my salary from my previous job!

Until life took a different route… I became a mom!
I was fixing my hair while carrying you. As you can see I just couldn’t let you go.

Many wannabe freelancers and WFH hopefuls are struggling on how to get started with their journey. And yes, I could help with that.

But what if your life takes on a more challenging route?

What if you…

lost a job not really quit it,

maybe you need an extra source of income to sustain a lifestyle

or just became a parent while trying to run a business?

This is when my #realHUSTLE began

Bidding on projects after projects, writing countless proposals and winning multiple projects in one night were all nothing when you’ve mastered juggling your time as a full-time solo-prenuer and a hands-on parent.

Did I stop?

No, because my real hustle has just begun. And my life’s advocacy was born.

I was born in Rome, Italy to a generation of Overseas Filipino Workers and grew up in the Philippines surrounded with relatives while both of my parents worked abroad.

My first-hand experience growing up without my parental unit lead me to pursue my life’s advocacy: practice the parent-first approach in pursuing my goals while raising my child.

By parent-first, I mean finding harmony between work and my role as a hands-on parent through work-life integration.

The work-life integration allowed me to do this:

  • Bring my daughter to meetings and field work without disrupting my work
  • Instill good behaviour during client calls
  • Practice quiet-time during my work-from-home hours

My tweaked (and well-thought out) parenting-style allowed my daughter to see me as she grows into a fun-loving, confident and independent little one while I run my business alongside her playtime sessions.

With my location independent business and work-from-home lifestyle, I’m able to:
  • Celebrate my business and work milestones in the comforts of my home or anywhere I choose
  • Work on diverse international client accounts ranging from startup event organisations, real estate, food delivery business, construction and business brokerage agency to name a few
  • Take on random adventures abroad or get on a road trip with my toddler in tow
  • See my toddler grow right before my eyes
  • Integrate my work and life instead of using balance in managing my life

Fast forward to today, I am working on my agency, gearing for the launch of a new business, analyzing digital marketing data, working on my passion for writing and producing vlogs while I go on spontaneous trips with my toddler… with lots of cuddles in between breaks.

Now that’s living!

Over the years, I worked as an Accounts Executive in a startup advertising agency, became a PR Assistant at Samsung Philippines, Internet Marketer at a Stockholm company and a Regional Accounts Associate in the Marketing Communications Department at ABS-CBN.

All those work experiences served as a guide on what my future business would be like. And the structure and solutions presented itself as soon as I started getting my own international clients.

Clients seek my help in the following areas:

  • Content Creation to increase brand awareness and promotions
  • Social Media Management and Digital Marketing
  • Blog Writing and Video Editing for social media
  • Virtual Assistance for minor or major admin work i.e. talent hiring, file uploading, data reporting etc.

    May I respectfully request for an interview with you regarding your work as a blogger and mother. This is for a master’s thesis in communication in De La Salle University. The research intends to study the public life writing of Filipina bloggers and mothers like you, your environment and relationships, and how you set boundaries to achieve work-life balance while working at home. I’m hoping you would find time to share your insights and experience that would certainly contribute to the quality of the results of this study.
