We all know that self-care is essential whether you are a busy stay-at-home parent, a super working mom or a hybrid work-from-home momma. But, what are the steps you take to care for you, too? Today, I’m sharing you mine.
I’ve heard about Glossier sometime ago while listening to Girlboss podcast. The host of the show mentioned how this beauty brand had a cult-like following. So, I looked into it and found how Emily Weiss ‘grammed her way into the hearts of the millennials.
It was one of those success stories cultivated through hard work and social media savviness. But what captured my attention was how the brand understood its community’s real-life needs, insert, skincare and make-up products that aren’t too complicated to use. Because in RL work-from-home hands-on parents like me have about 10 minutes of her life (or less) to get ready and that’s it.

My latest skincare and make-up product line up from Glossier
Why I chose to get all 11 pieces of Glossier’s skincare and make-up products
Here’s the situation.
I’m a work-from-home hands-on mom of an energetic little three-year-old. You’ll see working on my websites yelling “Brush well!” SWEETLY at my toddler while she brushes her teeth. Walking back and forth between dishwashing and supervising my daughter’s bedtime routine. Living me with little to zero energy to think about a complicated skincare routine. When I saw Glossier’s line up of skincare products in sets, I knew that I have to have them before it runs out.
The Skincare Set usually includes the Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser, Priming Moisturiser and Balm Dot Com for $40. The Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector was a separate item that retails at $24. I use the Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector after the Milk Jelly Cleanser and before I put on a serum or Priming Moisturiser.

Here’s what I love about the Glossier Milk Jelly Cleanser, you can use it in two ways. I could apply it directly onto my face and rinse it off with water as a cleanser or leave it on around the eye area to remove eyeshadow makeup. With this cleanser, I don’t need to apply a makeup remover anymore cutting the time I spend rinsing off excess makeup. It’s also light on the skin, so it leaves no oily residue after every wash.
After cleansing, I have the option to apply Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, especially on those days that I have the breakouts. I use it alternately with a toner I got at a local store.
The Glossier Priming Moisturiseralso gives the one-two punch because it hydrates your face and works as a primer before applying to makeup. For me, that sounds like cutting my daily skincare and makeup routine in half.
Now, there are days wherein a moisturiser could only do so much like those nights that I have a few hours of sleep to catch up with work. The aftermath of staying up all night dries my skin like no other, but these two products help pump the hydration my skin needs. Glossier Balm Dotcom and Bubblewrap work to soften the areas that it’s needed the most. Use Balm Dotcom on elbows, cracked heels and chest area. The thick formulation glides well onto your skin without the sticky feel. While the Glossier Bubblewrap turned into a two-in-one cream for my tired under eye and dry lips. You can have the featherweight creamy combo for $26.

The Makeup Set includes the Glossier Cloud Paint, Boy Brow and Lash Slick, which are my basic makeup products when in a hurry. For $40, you can have your on-the-go makeup set. I’ll share a different review on them once done reviewing those three products.
Finally, my favourite, Glossier Super Pack serum set!

For $65 you’ll get Glossier’s super serum trio which includes Super Pure, Super Bounce and Super Glow. On extreme days, this trio is my go-to self-care unit to elevate the skin. In the beginning, I used to apply one serum a night, depending on what my skin feels. Then, I realised, thanks to its convenient website; you can use all three after cleansing. Apply Super Pure first, followed by Super Bounce and then Super Glow. Just make sure to let your skin absorb the serum well before moving on to the next step.
If these 3-action packed serum turns out to be the perfect partner to help my tired skin, it could mean saving time and money going to a dermatologist.
