Salisbury steak with creamy mushroom sauce

Did you know that there’s some difference between a hamburger steak and Salisbury steak? I wasn’t aware until I tried going pro in the kitchen!

This month I tried whipping my version of Salisbury steak hoping it will turn buttery sweet just like the ones in Pancake House. But mine had a few Italian flavors to it. It looks like it had too much Oregano and Basil!

If you want to recreate the flavours, check out the recipe below.

Salisbury steak

Ingredients:

  1. Ground Beef
  2. Oregano
  3. Basil
  4. Salt
  5. Pepper
  6. Egg
  7. Onion
  8. Garlic
  9. Campbell’s Mushroom Soup
  10. Mushroom

How to cook the Salisbury steak with cream mushroom sauce

Cooking the Salisbury steak was super easy! I practically tossed the dried Oregano, Basil, salt, pepper, egg, minced onion and garlic in a bowl. Once done, I fried them neatly in a pan. The creamy mushroom sauce was cooked on the same pan to absorb the flavours. Add butter to make your sauce a bit more creamy because why not?

Enjoy!
